Following on the announcement that the 2013 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals would be held at NOLA Motorsports Park, The MAXSpeed Group is excited to announce that the 2013 Rotax Pan-American Challenge will also be held at the same venue this October 8th through the 13th. This event, held roughly one month prior to the Grand Finals, will mark the last opportunity for North American and International competitors to qualify for the Grand Finals.
In addition to being the last chance to qualify, the PanAm will be the best chance for those already qualified for the Grand Finals to test at the venue under heavy rubber conditions that will simulate the conditions at the world final event.
Thierry Germanovitch, MAXSpeed’s Brand and Marketing Manager had this to say about the event, “The Pan Am this year will be the only possibility for all drivers to use the same track as the Grand Finals! The event will be open to all drivers from around the world. As such, we expect to have an event that will have some of the same ambiance as the Grand Finals.”
“All of us at MAXSpeed are excited to have the PanAm at the NOLA Motorsports park,” said US Rotax MAX Program Administrator Josh Smith. “I know the US and Canadian competitors will be fierce as usual. And, with the addition of many International competitors wanting to test and qualify for the Grand Finals, this event will be like a dress rehearsal for the Grand Finals.”
With the last four golden tickets being awarded to the Grand Finals for Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2 and DD2 Masters, expectations for full fields are very high. As such, all entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
