Another beautiful day welcome drivers and teams to the final day of action at the 2012 Rotax Pan American Championship Finals, held at the Track at Centennial in Colorado, USA.
A dominating weekend for David Rafailov (CRG/USA) saw him utilize his pole-position to take the early lead in the Rotax Mini-Max Final with the Terife brothers Santiago (TonyKart/Venezuela) and Sergio (TonyKart/Venezuela) in tow. However on lap four, Rafailov’s weekend would come to an unfortunate end as contact in corner one with Santiago Terife (TonyKart/USA) saw Rafailov off the track and out of the race. From there, Santiago was able to pull away from his brother and take the victory. Sergio was able to hold off Michael Benyahia (Tecno/USA) to finish second.
A great drive from his fifteenth starting position would see Luiz Jose Forteza (CRG/Puerto Rico) make it all the way to fifth.
