Rotax Challenge of the Americas to award tickets to Rotax Grand Finals for Micro-Max and Mini Max

CotALogo2013The Rotax Challenge of the Americas is preparing for the final two rounds of the 2013 season, set for the CalSpeed Karting circuit in Fontana, California on March 8-10. Four tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals – set for the NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans this November – will be awarded to the series champions in DD2, Senior Max, DD2 Masters and Junior Max following the racing on the 3/4-mile course. With the announcement of the Micro & Mini Invitational scheduled in conjunction with the Rotax world championship, the Rotax Challenge of the Americas is happy to announce two tickets to the support event will be awarded at the series finale weekend.

MAXSpeed Group, organizer of the 2013 Rotax Grand Finals, have provided two tickets – one in Mini Max and one in Micro Max – to the Rotax Challenge of the Americas program. The tickets to the Rotax Grand Finals Micro & Mini Invitational will be decided by the results recorded during The Challenge season finale at the CalSpeed facility the second weekend in March. For each class, the driver who earns the highest point total on the weekend will receive the ticket (utilizing the Rotax Challenge of the Americas point system). The Micro & Mini Invitational is open only to drivers carrying licenses in the United States, Canada and Mexico, and must abide by the age structure set for the November event.

“This is another great incentive for racers to be part of the Rotax Challenge of the Americas,” states series promoter Andy Seesemann. “We will be awarding the season champions in both Mini Max and Micro Max with a paid entry into their country’s Grand National event. Thanks to MAXSpeed Group, we are able to add another prize for our youngest racers. I predict we will see a few racers who have not raced with us this year making it out to CalSpeed for a chance at earning this unique opportunity to race at the Rotax Grand Finals. There have been some great racing in both categories during the first two weekends in Arizona, and I expect even better rounds of racing in Fontana for the series finale.”

The Micro & Mini Invitational regulations are currently in development. Each class will be limited to just 34 drivers, offered to just North American drivers per international regulations, and the classes will be raced on a schedule similar to the Rotax Grand Finals on the same track configuration.

Pre-registration is open for the Rotax Challenge of the Americas 2013 season finale at CalSpeed until February 28 at registration.rotaxchallenge.com. For more information regarding the series, bookmark www.rotaxchallenge.com.
