For the past three seasons, one of the most epic battles to watch in Canadian karting has been between two-time Rotax Grand Finals Champion Pier-Luc Ouellette and three-time Rotax Grand Finals Champion Ben Cooper.
While the two haven’t gone head-to-head yet this season, the friendly rivalry will continue this weekend in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec as both drivers have entered the Rotax DD2 class for the Coupe du Quebec/Eastern Canadian Karting Championship season finale.
Ouellette returned to action just under a month ago, competing at the Canadian Championships while Cooper has been busy operating the KMS North America race team in Canada as well as competing in the Rotax Euro Challenge, winning the Rotax DD2 title two weeks ago in France.
Both drivers have entered the event with the KMS Racing Team and will compete aboard Birel chassis, making it the first time they have competed in Canada on equal equipment.
Racing begins on Saturday.
