The first round of the 2015 Northwest Gold Cup hit the track last weekend in Sumas, Washington and a handful of Canadian drivers made the trek across the border for the season opener.
The two-day event kicked off five round championship for the north western region of North America.
A trio of the Canadians in attendance we able to come away with wins as British Columbia’s Jordan Redlin swept the weekends action in the Pro Rotax Senior category, making his debut on the BirelART chassis with PSL West.
Also scoring victories were Remo Ruscitti and Scott Hargrove who split the wins in both the Shifter and IKF TaG categories. Both drivers, who now race cars professionally, took the opportunity to jump back in a kart with Italian Motors aboard ITALKART’s.
The program features classes for Rotax, TaG and Briggs & Stratton engine programs and round two will be held at Greg Moore Raceway in Chilliwack, BC on May 1-3.
