As the second largest class of the day, Rotax Junior lined up 23 karts for their final at todays’ Quebec Cup race in Mont-Tremblant.
Competing in a complete different timezone all day, Zachary Claman Demelo (ZCD/PSL/CRG) went untouched start to finish. After getting away cleanly, Demelo posted multiple fast laps early on to pull a gap, then consistent lap times allowed him to take a 4.5 second victory, throwing his hands up in the air as he crossed the finish line.
After some opening lap jumbling, Jeffrey Kingsley (SRA Karting/Birel) erupted into second place, with teammate Nicholas Dore (SRA Karting/Birel) in tow. The two would hold off a charging Samuel Fontaine (PSL Karting/CRG) to take complete the podium. Rounding out the top-five was Tommy Lamaire-Ouellet (PSL Karting/CRG).
