Another great day of racing has come and gone. The Waterloo Regional Kart Club members staged their first of 4 races of the 2013 season that will feature qualifying for pre-final and final race starting positions. Many of the members look forward to the chance to showcase their skills at laying down that 1 fast lap that will see them taking home the fast qualifier trophy for the day.
ALS is a paralyzing, life ending condition that attacks and kills the motor neurones in the body. It denies it victims the ability to move, to speak, and finally to breathe.
The club was very pleased that the family and friends of Everett Colling chose to be our race day sponsor to promote Jane Colling’s efforts to raise funds for the ALS Society of Canada. On June 8th many family members and friends will join Jane in the Hamilton Walk for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) as she raises money in Memory of her late Husband Everett. Everett had a passion for racing and classic cars, and he was a former president of the Canadian Vintage Modified Racing Club. He was also very active in the Strabane community through involvement with the Optimists Club, The United Church and the Parks Board.
The club thanks Jane for her sponsorship, and hopes her walk is a success.
