Team Whisler Racing Services (WRS) is set to make their SuperKarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals debut next week at the November 14- 18th event in Sin City. Taking place on the grounds of the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in the famous city of Las Vegas, Nevada, WRS will enter a pair of drivers in the stacked 100 plus kart TaG Senior division as they look for their chance to stand atop the podium. Though Team WRS and their drivers have all been to the prestigious event before, all three will be joined together under the Team WRS banner as they look to take on drivers from around the world.
“Team WRS debuted in early 2012 at the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas program and we had huge success,” explained Holeshot Drive Systems and Team WRS owner, AJ Whisler. “The goal of my program is quite different from others. I want to remain small and focus on driver development, chassis tuning and results from a core group of drivers. From race wins to podium results, we began to make a name for ourselves at the very fist event and since then, we have been pounding around North America competing in events with solid results. I look forward to getting to Las Vegas and keeping the momentum going throughout the SuperNats and onwards into 2013.”
Located in Phoenix, Arizona, Team WRS will enter a pair of drivers in the ultra competitive TaG Senior ranks. Long-time karter Nick Rivellini will see battle aboard a Sean Cook powered, AJ Whisler tuned CRG in his quest for SuperNats glory. Rivellini, who has been seen at several national events throughout the 2012 calendar, will look to end his season strong and race for the win come Super Sunday.
Making the trek from Canada, Luke Chudleigh will join forces with Team WRS as he and tuner Trevor Wickens make their assault on the SKUSA SuperNationals. Always a front-runner in national competition throughout the United States and Canada, Chudleigh will look to do much of the same in Vegas. Utilizing a Hi-Rev powered, Trevor Wickens prepared Prime Motorsports Maranello, Chudleigh will battle drivers from around the world in TaG Senior.
Whisler continued, “Rivellini and Chudleigh are two very talented drivers. Having both of them in the Team WRS program working together will prove to have its advantages throughout the race week. With limited time on track before qualifying, the sharing of data and working together will be beneficial when the track begins to take grip and conditions change throughout the five day long event. With only two drivers, I am able to focus my efforts better and provide the support that they need. I would like to expand to maybe a four or six kart operation but will not do more than that. It’s quality, not quantity at Team WRS.”
While a pair of drivers will compete on track for Team WRS, Whisler Racing Services will have a full-line of their Holeshot Drive System products available for purchase. With multiple dealers throughout the paddock stocking HDS chains, gears and Accu-Mix fuel jugs, supplies will be plentiful throughout the week.
Team WRS will offer chassis straightening services trackside in Las Vegas. With a frame table and the tools to bring your chassis back to its original shape, Whisler will have the necessary means to check and straighten chassis between on track session. Located in pit spots B69 through 71, be sure to stop by and get your chassis checked if needed.
