With the first round of the Northern Ontario Karting Championship (NOKC) in the books, series officials have been eagerly preparing for rounds two and three of the program. Taking place at the Launi Family’s Innisfil Indy facility in Gilford, Ontario, the competition will be fierce as a host of classes will again be offered. As a Rotax Max Challenge punch series, the NOKC looks to become a premier series in Ontario with their extensive prize offerings, track time and camaraderie.
As a Rotax Max Challenge qualifying series, Rotaxians will be able to get their second and third punches over the doubleheader June 7-9 weekend for the famed Canadian Karting Championships that will take place later this summer. The NOKC also offers a host of other class options including 4-Stroke and Shifters, offering something for every karter. Classes offered in the 2013 NOKC include: Rotax Micro Max, Rotax Mini Max, Junior Rotax, Senior Rotax, Rotax DD2, Senior 125 Shifter, Novice, Junior Lite 4-Stroke, Junior Heavy 4-Stroke, Senior 4-Stroke and Masters.
With round two set for Saturday, June 8 and round three for Sunday, June 9, Innisfil Indy will be set up for practice on Friday, June 7 to let teams and competitors get up to speed before wheel-to-wheel action commences. Practice will be available for a nominal fee and race day fees include parking and transponder.
Saturday’s round two is sponsored by Airway Automotive Service, and Sunday’s round three sponsor is PCS Project Construction Management. The NOKC would like to thank these generous sponsors for their support during the 2013 series.
With an unprecedented prize offering on the table in 2013, karters will not want to miss any of the NOKC series events. Race day cash prizes include $1000 split between the first, second and third place podium finishers. Together with a host of championship prizes, this lucrative and unprecedented series prize structure will make the NOKC the place to race in 2013.
NOKC officials also want to remind teams and competitors about the July 12- 14 event at the famed Shannonville Motorsport Park. Mark your calendars for what is sure to be an exciting and special weekend.
