The 2012 edition of the Northern Ontario Karting Championship (NOKC) is set to resume this weekend, June 1-3, at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton, Ontario. The newly dubbed double-header event is certain to attract even more entries, as the Sutton event will mark the first start for the NOKC as a traveling series. Also, with Round #2 & 3 combined points races for the Innisfil Kart Club, the racing action is sure to heat up this weekend.
As a Rotax Max Challenge regional qualifying series, the NOKC also offers Rotaxians the necessary “punches” to compete at this year’s ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Championships, set for August 24-26, 2012 at Circuit Karting Mont-Tremblant.
The NOKC double-header event format will kick off with practice Friday, June 1 from 9am-5pm. Two full days of racing action will follow on Saturday and Sunday at the challenging 3-S facility. All two-stroke classes with ten entries or more will vie for race day prizes of $300 for first, $200 for second and $100 for third. With two races on the docket, any class that meets the entry requirements will be racing for some serious cash. All Honda classes will also be on the weekend schedule, for an $85 entry fee per day. Classes offered include Micro Max, Mini Max, Junior Rotax, Senior/Master Rotax, DD2 Senior/Master Rotax, Junior 4-Cycle, Master 4-Cycle, Senior 4-Cycle and 125 Shifter ICC/MOTO.
The entire NOKC staff hopes to see everyone out at the Sutton double-header event this weekend. You won’t want to miss it!
