Descending on the Shannonville Motorsport Park over the July 13-14 weekend, Northern Ontario Karting Championship (NOKC) competitors would tackle the challenging and unique venue for the 2013 NOKC Grand National event. Welcoming karters from all ASN Canada affiliated clubs, the third and fourth rounds of the 2013 NOKC provided action-packed racing the facility is known for and offered Rotaxians two qualifying events for the upcoming Canadian Karting Championships.
Taking the win in Saturday’s Rotax Junior category was Dylon Brady with Austin Riley in second and Giancarlo Filicetti completing the podium. In Rotax Senior, NOKC frontrunner Stefan Semeraro was the day’s winner, followed by Matthew Radaelli and Marcus Iozzo. Andrea Masini was the victor in Rotax Masters with John Monteiro claiming second and Dave Lowe third.
In 125 Shifter action on Saturday, Zachary Shearer topped the blocks as Nico Fattore and Arron Attard completed the podium. Senior Honda saw Matthew Ashely take top honours, with Ryan Monteiro second and Mitch Dolan third. Junior Lite was won by Joshua Conquer with Tyler Edwards in second, while Simone Masini reached the checkered flag first in Rotax Mini Max with Luciano Masini and Eamon Lowe second and third respectively.
Sunday’s 125 Shifter final saw Nico Fattore top the blocks while John Monteiro was the victor in Rotax Masters followed by Saturday’s winner Andrea Masini in second and Dave Lowe again in third. Dylon Brady completed the sweep by taking his second win in Rotax Junior as Austin Riley and Giancarlo Filicetti rounded out the podium.
In Rotax Senior on Sunday, Stefan Semeraro scored his second win of the weekend with Marcus Iozzo second. Simone Masini was again the winner in Rotax Mini Max, and was followed by Eamon Lowe in second and Luciano Masini third. Senior Honda action was won by Ryan Monteiro, with Tyler Edward and Joshua Conquer placing one-two in Junior Lite.
