The Board of Directors of the Waterloo Regional Kart Club are excited to announce that we have commissioned a new trophy that will be handed out to the race winners at all future Oktoberfest Grandprix’s. The competition will be intense to be one of the first winners of these new awesome looking trophies. This year marks the 31st running of the Oktoberfest Grandprix, Cananda’s longest running karting event. In addition to the exciting new trophy what else can the racers expect: great prizes for everyone on the podium, a door prize for every driver and a goody bag.
This year’s race will be held on Saturday October 6th at Flamboro Speedway, with a practice session being held on the 5th starting at 3 pm. The race day will feature the following classes: Cadet, Novice, Jr. Lite, Jr. Heavy, Sr. Lite, Sr. Heavy, and Masters. The racing will be conducted based on the WRKC 2012 Rule Book.
The club is pleased to have 2 sponsors for this year’s event. The education experts at Young Drivers of Canada have developed a state-of-the-art program to help prepare young drivers to stay collision free. For more information visit their website at www.yd.com
