The Monaco de Trois-Rivières will celebrate this summer its 15th anniversary with plenty of new program features. Online or on-site at the site of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R), expect to experience a unique event, from August 1st to the 4th 2013.
NEW FEATURES
The 15th edition program of events of the Monaco de Trois-rivières will be enhanced this year by various elements, affecting different audiences.
First of all, a fun site for children, the «BREYERS section» will be created on the site of GP3R. Kids will enjoy inflatable structures between races.
Thursday, August 1st, at 5 pm, the event not to be missed is the Bed Race, presented as part of the fundraising campaign for the Fondation régionale pour la santé de Trois-Rivières (RSTR). From 6:30 pm, media and public figures will storm the track for the first time on the new circuit.
On Friday, August 2nd and Saturday, August 3rd, the 15th edition will be highlighted in downtown Trois-Rivières by a series of outdoor concerts on Badeaux Street, from 7 pm. All details of the music program will be announced shortly.
Sunday, August 4th, the winning drivers racing Mini-Max and Micro-Max will be rewarded. A prize will be awarded in each category to the winner of these races.
Finally, if you are unable to be there, Sunday’s races will be broadcast live on the Internet. They will also be broadcast on RDS this fall.
RACES PROGRAM
Two championships will be presented at this year’s Monaco de Trois-Rivières:
• August 3rd: Round # 5 of 6 – Quebec Cup
• August 4th: Round # 5 of 6 – Eastern Canadian Karting Championship (ECKC)
The current world champion in DD2, Ben Cooper, champion of Eastern Canada (title won here last year) will on site for us to impress throughout the weekend.
Finally, the organization wishes to recall that the winner of the final race of the ROTAX MAX DD2 category Sunday, August 4th in the Championship ECKC will have the privilege to run in the Sportsman Series presented at the GP3R, in collaboration with Elitech Sport Evasion.
Admission is always free on the site, as well as parking on Papineau Street, via Laterriere Street.
