PR: MIKA Race 5 Press Release

On June 24th 2012, the Mosport International Karting Association will be holding Race 5 of the 2012 season. This round is the traditional “Race before the ECKC” race and gives a chance for those competition to get some track time in race conditions. In past years, entry numbers have rivalled those of Regional races so get to the track early!

As with the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship event, we will be running the full track. All classes will do traditional qualifying, instead of heat races as we’ve been doing with the four stroke classes this season. There will also be additional classes offered this weekend.

Classes include:

Rotax Micro-Max
Rotax Mini-Max
Rotax Junior
Rotax Senior
Rotax Masters
Rotax DD2
Pro-Shifters
Briggs and Stratton Junior
Briggs and Stratton Senior
Briggs and Stratton Masters
Honda Junior Light
Honda Junior Heavy
Honda Senior
Honda Masters

All Briggs classes will be permitted to use the Bridgestone tire along with the Vega Blue tire. Rotax classes will be on MOJO rubber except for Rotax Masters, Rotax Mini-Max and Rotax Micro-Max who will be on Vega Blue tires. Honda classes will be on Vega Blue tires.

Race fees are $70 for MIKA members and $80 for members of other ASN clubs.
