On Saturday August 18th and Sunday August 19th 2012, the Mosport International Karting Association will be hosting its second summer double header of the season. The guy that makes up the names for the events is hung over from Boots and Hearts, so the race will be known as the “August Double Header!”
The layouts for the weekend are the Jewell layout on Saturday, which uses the upper bowl and the super-short track. On Sunday, we will be running a RANDOM layout. Once racing is concluded on Saturday, we will draw the layout at random at the podium. Practice is available all day on Friday.
There will also be a myriad of prizes available. We will again be offering cash prizes on both Saturday and Sunday. For classes with 5 drivers or more, we will be offering $100 for first, $75 for second and $50 for third. We will also be drawing 10 $25 prizes each day for those in attendance at the podium. We also working on more prizes to give away at the podium as well. All drivers will have access to the Mosport oval on Saturday night as well with wristband.
On a technical note, MIKA has changed its spec fuel station due to concerns of ethanol content at the previous spec station. Our new station is the Esso on Highway 115, just south of the Highway 35 split and is less than 10 minutes from the track. All classes will be using 91 octane.

Rotax Max classes will be on Mojo rubber. Rotax Masters and Mini-Max, as well as the four cycle classes will be on Vega Blue rubber. The shifter guys have choice as always.
Race fees are $70 for members, and $80 for any other ASN club member for each race day. You can register on Friday and also register for both days at once.
