PR: Energy Kart Canada Heads South to Florida Winter Tour

PR by: Race Tech Development

With arctic cold and several feet of snow north of the border, Energy Kart Canada will leave winter behind and head to sunny Florida to the annual Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour. Taking over the Energy Kart reigns late in 2013, Darren White and his crew will look to start their campaign off on the right foot and fight for race wins and podiums at the first round of the Rotax schedule set for January 16-19.

Three drivers will carry the Energy Kart Canada colours at the Homestead Karting complex, set in the shadow of the famed Homestead-Miami Speedway. Leading the charge will be defending Rotax DD2 World Champion Simas Juodvirsis, who claimed the world title at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals in New Orleans in November. The Lithuanian pilot will look to put Energy Kart on top of the podium against the stacked international DD2 fields the FWT is known for and start the title fight off right during the opening rounds in Homestead.

Canadian Austin Riley is set to tackle the ultra-competitive Rotax Junior division in his Energy Kart Canada ride. The 2012 Mini Max Eastern Canadian Karting Championship runner-up is certain to make strides during his sophomore year in the junior ranks.

Completing the roster for Energy Kart Canada is Mini Max driver Ryan Macdermid. Coming under the tutelage of White during the 2013 Canadian Karting Championships, Macdermid will look gain experience during his FWT debut.

“I am excited to get to Homestead and see the Energy Kart Canada drivers on track in Homestead,” stated Energy Kart Canada principal Darren White. “The entire Energy Kart Canada crew has been working non-stop after taking over the brand back in October, and it will be great to see everything come to fruition as the team starts the 2014 Florida Winter Tour. We have a strong line-up of drivers, and we are set to fight for race wins and titles at the FWT and throughout the 2014 season.”
