PR: BSRKC ready to invade Flamboro Speedway and crown 2012 Champions

The 4 stroke racing community will be heading to the challenging track at Flamboro Speedway on September 8th, and 9th. This is when the last checkered flag is waived and the 2012 Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series champions will be crowned.

With 4 of the 5 races completed the Brian Stewart Series competitors converge on Flamboro Speedway for what will be the best attended karting event of the 2012 season. The gates will open Saturday morning at 6:30 am, with the official practice from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. The cost for practice is $50.00. All racers will have to vacate the pits by 2:30 pm. On Sunday the Novice, Junior Lite, Junior Heavy, Senior Lite, Senior Heavy, and Masters classes will run their final races of the year, with the WRKC Cadet class added to this schedule. A quick look through the point standings will confirm that there are a number of competitors in each class that can still improve on their final point standing for the season. This will surely make the racing very exciting.

It is important that all competitors note that overnight camping will be allowed at the racetrack in the field on the main grandstand side of the property. For those planning to camp they will have to be packed up and moved out of the pit area by 2:30 pm. Trailers can be left in the pit area in a designated spot on Saturday evening however, there will be no security provided by the Series. If you plan on leaving your trailer please have it parked in the designated area by 2:15 pm. (Note there will be no camping in this area). Information regarding accommodations is posted on the BSRKC website.

We are pleased to have Neely Auto Service and the Neely family as our event sponsor. Neely Auto Service is a family owned & operated business and has been proudly serving Milton and the surrounding area since 2004. They are a full service auto centre, their licensed “A” mechanics provide service for cars, trucks, and trailers. They are conveniently located just off the 401, and welcome all the racers to drop by and meet their service department. More information is available at www.neelyautoservice.ca.

On Saturday evening the Flamboro Speedway is hosting the Ontario Pro Challenge series in addition to the regular line up that features Thunder Cars, Mini Stocks, and F4 Modifieds. The Grandstand opens at 5 pm, qualifying starts at 6:30 pm and the main events are scheduled to start at 8:00 pm. All students with a valid student ID card will get in for free. It will be an exciting night for all the spectators and race fans.

All classes with 10 or more entries will receive cash prizes. 1st place receives $175.00, 2nd place receives $75.00, and 3rd place receives $50.00. The cash prizes will be awarded the same day as the trophy presentations. As is always the case with all kart racing events held at Flamboro Speedway the top five in each class will also receive trophies.
Since 2006 the BSRKC Series has awarded more than $160,000.00 in cash and prizes. We truly hold the record for being the most affordable and cost conscious regional karting Series in Canada.

The entry form, event schedule and pre-tech form are posted in the 2012 Schedule section of the www.BSRKC.com website. The Series Supplemental Regulations are posted in the 2012 regulations page. The BSRKC Principals and organizers, officials, and volunteers, together with the Simcoe and Waterloo Regional Kart Clubs look forward to seeing you all at the Flamboro Speedway.

Good luck to all of the competitors.
