After a successful Canadian karting season the Ben Cooper Racing stable heads south of the border to Las Vegas, Nevada for the US Open Championship Finale. With eight drivers under the tent this weekend, BCR is hoping to end the season on a high.
Leading the charge for BCR will be Justin Arseneau, who decided to move down to the Micro-Max category after last competing in the category at the beginning of the year. Arseneau has always been quick while racing Micro-Max and should be at the front of the field this weekend once getting reacclumated to the shorter wheel based chassis.
Chloe Chambers will be the sole BCR driver in Mini Max this weekend. Chambers has shown great improvement over the season consistently being one of the quickest drivers back in Canada. With a clean run through the heat races Chambers should be quick enough to be in the top ten come Sunday’s Finals.
In Rotax Junior driver Emma Delattre will continue to gain valuable experience this weekend. Delattre proved that she could run in the top ten in Canada and also finished on the podium at the ICAR round of the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship. With the high level of competition this weekend Delattre will be able to see how much she has improved as a driver since racing against similar competition at the Florida Winter Tour.
Finally in Rotax DD2 and DD2 Masters BCR has five drivers competing at the event. Jaime Billings and Steve Bull from the UK will be joined by Frenchman Antoine Lepequeux in DD2 while in DD2 Masters Clive and Ronald Billings will represent the BCR Stable. All five drivers are eager to find out where they stack up against North America’s best.
