The first round of the FISKE SKUSA Pro Tour was a complete success for the PSL Birel ART Official Team debut in Phoenix, AZ. The 40C hot temperature’s made for very special conditions for all drivers on the soft MG tire compound.
On Saturday and Sunday, Rick Dreezen (Birel ART/Swedetech) had two perfect days, claiming both poles, all heat wins, and fast laps within each session, finishing off with two convincing final wins in the top shifter category, S1 Stock Honda .
In TAG Senior, Oliver Askew (Birel ART/P1 Engines), struggled Saturday due to an error in qualifying, however some adjustments for Sunday allowed for a P2 in qualifying. After some hard attacking in the heats, Askew would start P4 for the final, crossing the line P2 with fastest race lap. In the end the, officials applied a penalty to the unofficial the leader, allowing Askew to take the win and points for the championship.

In S2, Austin Schimmel (Birel ART/Swedetech) quickly adated to the new Birel ART CRY-30-S7, crossing the line in a strong P5 after some hard luck throughout the weekend.
TAG Junior pilots, Sebastian Alvarez and Dylan Tavella (Birel ART/Sargeant Power) displayed mega speed on Saturday and Sunday posting fastest laps in each session. In Sunday’s main, Tavella’s final would end early with an incident, while Alvarez finish P5 in his Junior debut against America’s best.
