The Point Pelee Karting Club host’s their third annual Ultimate Karting Championship enduro this weekend, October 14, in Leamington, Ontario. The PPKC UKC has drawn plenty of attention in the past and this year is no different. Once again, championship winners will receive ‘the belt’, a unique award in karting.
Entry fee is only $90.00 and there is five races set for the day. Kicking off with the Fly Weight division, Cadet and Novice racers will hit the track for a 30-minute race that includes a mandatory 5-minute pitstop.
The Middle Weight (Senior 4-Cycle) and Welter Weight (Junior 4-Cycle) divisions will once again do battle for 2-hours, with 15 minutes of mandatory pit time needed per team. Finally, the Welter Weight 2 (Junior 2-Cycle) and Heavy Weight (Senior 2-Cycle) will each have a 70-minute race, with 10 minutes of mandatory pit time to conclude the day’s races.
This years races will once again feature a Le Mans start, and changing track configurations (changed under full course yellow conditions). Teams can have a maximum of 3 drivers, and maximum of 2 pit crewmembers in the hot pit.
