The Point Pelee Karting Club is set to host its premier event and the biggest paying club race on September 7-8.
The Memorial Money race weekend doubleheader features both 4-cycle Briggs & Stratton and Honda racers, as well as 2-cycle TaG Senior and Junior karters doing battle for top honours and a large prize fund at the Leamington, Ont., facility.
Following races on Saturday, day two witnesses the Memorial Money races. Sponsored by Windsor Mobile Wash, the Senior Medium for both Briggs & Stratton and Honda together has $1000 for the win, plus an extra $500 for any out-of-town driver who does not normally run at PPK winning. The winner of the largest Junior class will get $500 thanks to Willis Service. The winner of the second largest class (Senior or Junior) will receive $500 care of CF Group. In addition, MG Tire is sponsoring the event, with yellow tires being utilized in the Senior Medium class, and a portion of sales going to the winning totals.
CanadianKartingNews.com has also donated five $100 Gas Gift Cards to be distributed out to visiting teams/trailers. Winners will be selected at podium presentation on Sunday, with five random names drawn out of a hat from those out-of-town teams/trailers.
All karters are welcome to participate in Ontario’s biggest money race weekend shootout at Point Pelee Karting. The gates open at 8:00 am on both days, and always admission is free.
CanadianKartingNews.com will be trackside for the Memorial Race, providing daily updates and event photographs.
