Pfaff Automotive Partners is renewing its support of young kart drivers with the Pfaff Motorsports Driver of the Race Award in the Champion Ron Fellows Karting Challenge.
The award is presented to two drivers – in the junior and senior classes – at each of the four rounds in the Champion Ron Fellows Karting Challenge. Representatives from Pfaff Motorsports and media members in attendance will select winners based on quality race performances, regardless of starting and finishing position. Each award-winning driver will be presented with a special trophy and a cash prize of $250.
“We are thrilled to renew our relationship with Ron Fellows in the Champion Ron Fellows Karting Challenge,” said Chris Pfaff, President and CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners. “Our involvement in motorsport has always been a differentiator for Pfaff in the automotive marketplace, and we are committed to developing Canadian racing driver talent. The Champion Ron Fellows Karting Challenge provides young drivers an important competitive venue and a stepping stone to greater things, and we’re proud to support the Driver of the Race Award, and help nurture young drivers as they progress to higher forms of racing.”
Champion Spark Plugs and legendary racer Ron Fellows established the Champion Ron Fellows Karting Challenge in 2015. This regional karting series initiative is designed to bring additional profile and support to entry-level kart racing. The series schedule kicks off at Goodwood Kartways this Saturday, May 14, followed by two events at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Karting Centre, July 24 and August 20, with the series finale at Goodwood Kartways on September 10.
The sponsorship also encompasses a fifth event, the Briggs & Stratton Summerfest, Presented by Pfaff Motorsports, August 21st at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s Karting Centre. The event will help promote the four-cycle classes of kart racing and provide four-cycle competitors with additional recognition.
