A morning shower here at the inaugural Kart Stars Grand Prix provided drivers with tricky track conditions on an already challenging track in Toronto. With Rotax DD2 kicking off the morning groups qualifying, all drivers decided to stick with rain tires even with some drying patches.
Eric Gerrits (BEA/TonyKart) was able to top the time sheets posting a lap of 17.479 seconds, just narrowly edging out Darren White (SH Ontario/TonyKart) who has made a return behind the wheel for this special weekend. Blake Reith (CRG), Enrico Menotti (Intrepid) and Frank Launi (GP) completed the top-5.
