With a full focus on Briggs & Stratton LO206 racing, K&K Karts have steadily been building a brand recognized throughout the karting paddocks of Ontario and Quebec. The self proclaimed ‘Snake Pit’ has been very passionate about their chassis venture led by Kevin Barrick and supported heavily by James Treadwell and now well into their fifth year of racing, the brand has racked up a solid list of accomplishments built around a great group of drivers.
This weekend is no different as the Snake Pit gang has been preparing for the ASN Canadian National Karting Championships all summer long and is ready to attack the Mosport Kartway Circuit with team regulars and a few bonus entrants as well. 11 drivers will support the brand at Mosport where they hope to return to the top of the Canadian National podium after missing out in 2014.
In addition to the team regulars, 2013 Canadian Junior Briggs Champion and now stock car racer Jordan Latimer is back along with Andre Fiorini and Manitoba’s Victoria Stutsky. Latimer will join team leader Jon Treadwell in Senior Briggs, while Fiorini and Stutsky join a potent Junior Briggs roster that includes Zach Latimer, Braxton Terry, and Keidon Fletcher with William Chayer and Joshua Conquer supporting the brand through its affiliate team Derek Michaud Racing.
The pair of Mike Rogers and Kyle Aulenback are representing the brand in Briggs Masters after finishing 1-2 in the tuneup at Mosport last weekend helping the team claim victories in all three Briggs & Stratton categories.
Always a threat in Briggs & Stratton competition, come Championship Sunday there very well could be a green and orange K&K celebrating on the top step of the podium.
