Great Turnout for TRAK General Meeting – Claim Rule for Briggs & Stratton Classes highlights changes

This past weekend, Goodwood Kartways and the Toronto Racing Association for Karters held their annual General Meeting at Formula Kartways. Taking a break from the harsh winter everyone has endured so far this offseason, it was a very positive turn out and those in attendance showed their enthusiasm for the upcoming racing season.

One of the highlights from the meeting was the introduction of the Claim Rule for all Briggs & Stratton classes in 2014 for the

TRAK Club Championship. Members voted unanimously accepting a proposed claiming rule for Briggs classes. Details of the rule are expected to be announced in the next few weeks as club officials are working diligently to complete the 2014 regulations.

TRAK has seen a huge increase in the Briggs program with 15 members are already registered in Briggs JR and 19 combined members in Briggs SR and Masters. This represents a huge jump in participation for these classes and considering many of these participants are new to club level karting this is very encouraging for the club.

There was also the annual Indoor shootout where 47 drivers hit the track. Winning for another year was Goodwood’s own Daniel Di Leo.

More information about the upcoming TRAK season at Goodwood Kartways will be available in the coming months.
