After more than a month hiatus, the Northern Ontario Karting Championship (NOKC) is set to resume this weekend, September 15-16, for the fifth round of the series. Welcoming karters from all ASN affiliated clubs, the NOKC will return to the tight and twisty Innisfil Indy for more exciting racing action.
After the unique double-header feature at Shannonville Motorsports Park for Rounds #2 & 3, and the exciting night race for Round #4 at the end of July, NOKC series participants will return to the single event, day format this coming weekend. Practice is slated for Saturday, September 15 starting at 9am, with the race day set for Sunday, September 16 as racers utilize the challenging full track configuration.
With a full docket of class options, including Micro Max, Mini Max, Rotax Junior, Rotax Senior/Master, Rotax DD2 Senior/Master, Four-Cycle Junior, Four-Cycle Masters, Four-Cycle Senior, 125 Shifter ICC/MOTO and Novice, the NOKC has something for everyone. In a fun and welcoming atmosphere as well as exciting and challenging racing action, the NOKC is a great chance to get on track as the Canadian karting season starts to wind down.
The sixth and final round of the 2012 NOKC series is scheduled for September 29-30.
