CRG West Loses Team Trailer in Horrific Trackside Fire in Texas

We are very saddened to report that Team CRG West, the race team of Danny Kacic and family out of West Kelowna, British Columbia, has lost their race team trailer and all that was inside in a disastrous fire while in the paddock on Sunday at the SKUSA SpringNationals in Dallas, Texas. Fortunately, nobody was hurt.

The team was competing in the event, with young driver Marco Kacic on track while the trailer went up in flames. The fire destroyed the trailer to the extent of needing the local fire department to dim the flames and both sides of the canopy went down in flames as well.

At this point, we are unsure what started the fire.

We wish all the best to the Kacic Family and the CRG West crew for the remainder of the weekend and hope this won’t affect the team in the long term.

It is worth noting that another Canadian team, Italian Motors, was pitted beside CRG West and some quick actions by the team members and those close by who helped tear down their tent and move their entire setup in mere minutes to ensure it would not be caught up in the fire.
