Following up on the announcement of the official 2016 ASN Canada FIA Kart racing events, the organizers of the Champion Ron Fellows Karting Challenge have revealed the dates and locations for their second season of action. Launched in early 2015, the CRFKC drew great audiences for each round around the simple premise of club racing fees with national level racing.
The 2016 CRFKC season will once again race at Goodwood Kartways and Mosport Kartways in Ontario, with each track hosting two events. The season will kick off at Goodwood on May 14 as the lead up to the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship event there the weekend after. There is a large break before round two, which hits the track on July 24 at Mosport and it too will be the weekend before the ECKC comes to town.
Round three will take over the date usually held for the Canadian Championships with CRFKC organizers planning big things for that weekend at Mosport. In addition to the CRFKC race on August 20, the following day will host the inaugural CRFKC Briggs & Stratton Summer Nationals, a four-cycle only spectacular. More information about this event will come in the new year.
The 2016 CRFKC season will close out on September 10 back at Goodwood where champions will be crowned.
The official class structure is yet to be confirmed, although we don’t expect any changes from 2015.
