After setting the fastest time in KFJ Qualifying on Friday, Devlin Defrancesco backed it up today at the first round of the CIK European Karting Championships in La Conca, Italy.
The Canadian was able to score three heat-race wins and finished second in his final heat to secure the pole-position for Sundays prefinal race. Racing aboard his Morsicani Racing prepared TonyKart Defrancesco scored the least amount of points through all of the heats and has himself in a great position entering Sunday’s final day of competition.
Also competing this weekend is Kami Moreira-Laliberte of Montreal, Quebec. Laliberte enjoyed a great day of heat races where he finished ranking 15th overall and earned a direct transfer to Sunday main events after scoring results of 8th, 14th, 14th and 3rd in the final heat behind his countryman Defrancesco.
Sunday will feature a 15km distance prefinal race to set the grid for the 25km Final race.
