We all have that itch to get back into our race karts and race cars during this long Canadian offseason. And with Spring right around the corner, this weekends 3-day Canadian Motorsports Expo is the unofficial start to the Canadian motorsports season. Held at the International Center in Toronto, Ontario the CME is a massive show wthl exhibitors from across the country promoting many different levels racing and programs.
The CME is a great chance to check out some new and exciting announcements for 2014, as well as motorsports stars. Nascar stars Ryan Newman and Richard Petty will be in attendance, as well as the Canadian debut of of Jeff Gordons 2014 Nascar race car. Canadian motorsports racer Alex Tagliani will also make an appearance to talk about his new racing team.
This weekend will also be a great opportunity for Canadian karters who have an interest in moving up the ladder. The Toyo Tires F1600 Championship will host an information session about the series and it’s big plans for 2014. The session will be held on Saturday February 8 at 1:00PM.
