The organizers of the Calgary Kart Racing Club (CKRC) are excited for their second year of racing at their all new circuit of North Star Raceway. After all the hard work that went in to opening the new track and preparing it for a full fletched season of action 2015, this year is shaping up to be a splendid sophomore season for the facility.
The club will operate an 11-race championship throughout the summer months with many special events planned as well. The Junior Driver Summer Camp was a success in 2015 and it is back, held from July 4 to 7. The Club will also host the second half of the Alberta Summer Shootout in July and close of their season with a fun-filled 3-hour enduro event.
The club will also host seven Try-A-Kart days throughout the summer to help grow the sport and gain attention to potential racers. These events were a hit in 2015 with nearly 100 different people trying a kart for the first time at North Star Raceway, thanks in part to the valued CKRC members.

September 17 and 18 have also been set aside for rain dates to make up for any events that are unable to be held due to weather.
