Under beautiful blue skies and perfect weather, the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship hit the track today for their first day of action at Point Pelee Karting.
In Jr. Medium, Austin Bisschop (Collison Racing/Birel) was in control all day. First taking the pole-position in the Green/White/Checkered qualifying session, then out-battled Clay Van Eerd (Birel) in the pre-final. Gaining a great start in the final, Bisschop got out front early and never looked back.
Behind, a tough start saw Van Eerd fall down the order early, while Cole Smith-Ledson (Birel), Jaret Stewart and Ryan Mohan (Birel) waged an excellent battle for second, that eventually saw Ledson take the spot.
