CKN ECKC Power Rankings: Briggs & Stratton Junior
Round two is upon us as drivers and teams file into Goodwood Kartways for this weekends Eastern Canadian Karting Championship. Round one at Mosport was very successful boasting the largest entry count ever for an ECKC event, but number appears to be broken this weekend as many new faces are expected at Goodwood. Add in the chance to test for the 2013 ASN Canada FIA National Karting Championships that will also be held at Goodwood and it’s going to be a busy weekend.
Breaking down the results from the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship races thus far, CKN has created a power rankings section. Based on results from qualifying all the way to the Final, drivers were ranked on consistency and results to create our power rankings.

Here is CKN’s Power Rankings of Briggs & Stratton Junior drivers and who to watch this weekend.

| 2 | – | Jordan Latimer | Mastering the conditions in the rain on Sunday, Latimer scored the win but will need to improve his core speed in the dry if he wants to top the box at Goodwood, unless of course it rains again. |
| 3 | – | Braxton Terry | The Sudbury driver was the fastest in both Qualifying sessions and finished second on Saturday. But some bad luck in the rain on Sunday pushed him down to seventh at the stripe. He tested at Goodwood last weekend and should be a threat again this weekend. |
| 4 | – | Christopher Proietto | Saturday’s winner at Mosport struggled on Sunday, missing the top-five. He will be looking to rebound at Goodwood. |
| 5 | – | Nicholas Hornbostel | Hornbostel was very consistent at Mosport never finishing any higher than fourth or lower than sixth. Keep an eye on him this weekend. |
Drivers to Watch:
The class continues to grow with new faces expected at Goodwood from all over Eastern Canada. Last weekend at Goodwood, Matteus Makos jumped back in a kart after a two-year hiatus and scored the victory and should be a threat this weekend too. Making the transition from Honda to Briggs, respected junior driver Austin Bisschop enters his first major event after a very impressive couple years in Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship competition and shouldn’t take long to come to grips and race up front. Andre Fiorini was very quick at Mosport and will also be a driver to keep an eye on.
