Thrilling Saturday Action in Mini-Rok See’s d’Orlando Come Out on Top
Split into two groups for Qualifying, the UK’s Jonny Edgar (BENIK Kart) put himself on the pole-position just edging out Nicholas d’Orlando (KoeneUSA/TonyKart) and Arias Deukmedjian (Kosmic). The BENIK kart would earn three of the top-five spots with Lachlan DeFrancesco and Jak Crawford round out the top-five.
Kyle Kirkwood captures victory in ROK Senior; Eduardo Dieter Untouchable in ROK Masters
Christian Munoz (V Motorsport/TonyKart) posted a time of 46.720 to take the pole in ROK Senior Qualifying ahead of Kyle Kirkwood (OGP/TonyKart) and Gustavo Rafols (TonyKart). Andre Nicastro (Techspeed) was fourth in the session ahead of Ryan Norberg (Checkered Motorsports/PCR) who completed the top five.
Munoz lead majority of the prefinal in ROK Senior, as he was being hunted down by Kirkwood and Nicastro. On the final lap Kirkwood took the lead in the hairpin, but Munoz tried to counter in the next corner pushing both karts wide giving the lead and the race win to Nicastro. Morgan Healey (OGP/TonyKart) and Gianfranco Mazzaferro (Ferrolati Corse/Tonykart) completed the top five.

Florida’s Austin Garrison (OGP/TonyKart) won the pole in the Vortex ROK shifter category ahead of to former Formula 1 drivers Nelson Piquet (Piquet Sports/TonyKart) and Rubens Barrichello (OGP/TonyKart) in an excellent field of talented shifter pilots. Canadian Formula 3 driver Nicholas Latifi (Ferrolati Corse/CRG) was fourth in his return to karting ahead of factory Praga driver Patrick Hajek (Praga North America/Praga) of the Czech Republic.

2015 Florida Winter Tour Ready to ROK and Roll – Part 2
After previewing the Senior level classes yesterday, today we break down the Junior level classes that will compete this weekend. CKN will be trackside for the entire Florida Winter Tour providing our excellent event coverage, photo galleries and much more.
Drivers are on track Friday for official practice before complete race days on Saturday and Sunday.
