Race 3 and 4 of the Western Canadian Championships were presented this weekend at Martensville race track in Saskatoon, SK. This weekend would put some drivers in good position for the Championship.

The drivers from the WCC will joint team Canada to participate at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final in Portugal. These drivers will be the champion in Rotax MAX, MAX Junior and Rotax DD2.

After Race # 3, we had a tie in the Rotax DD2 class between Scott Campbell and Austin King. But on Sunday Campbell took the advance when having a perfect day. For sure, this championship will be decided on the last race.

In Rotax Max Junior, Parker Thompson took an option on the championship when he scored a perfect weekend, leading all sessions. His lead is not enough to take the last round easy. Matthew Moniz proved this weekend he can be fast too, especially on Sunday when he finished 2nd after he started dead last.

In Rotax senior, Chris Glover arrived in Saskatoon as standings leader but Bryce Choquer left with that privilege after he grabbed the maximum in points. Glover is only 14 points behind. For many years in a row, the two competitors had to fight until the end for the title in this class and to win the privilege to race at the Rotax Grand Finals but Kevin King, with 2 podiums this weekend is not far behind.

In Mini-Max, the battle was very close between the leaders all weekend long. Top three drivers crossed the finish line with only 3 tenths difference and on Sunday, the gap between the winner and 3rd position was only 5 tenths! Identical podium for both days when Garrett Gulenshyn won over Jeff Fullham and Nolan Vogal.

Micro-Max driver Marco Kacic was the first to beat Griffin Dowler this year when he won the final race on Saturday. Dowler went back upfront on Saturday with a win and kept his championship lead. In Briggs and Stratton Junior 1, Dylan Waller continued his domination with a perfect weekend. Graham Haggerty finished second on Saturday and Christina Dezall did the same on Sunday. Championship rookie Jillian Berard scored a pair of 3rd place.

Two classes where on the program for the first time and there were Briggs & Stratton Junior 2 and Senior. In junior 2, Christopher Richter won on Saturday and finished third on Sunday to become the championship leader. In the senior class, Skylar Dunning scored a perfect weekend and is now the championship leader.
