Breakout Victory for Alexandre Legare in Mini Max

After two failed starts, pole sitter Alexandre Legare (PSL/CRG) was moved back to the third position behind Nicholas d’Orlando (Koene/TonyKart).

Nicholas got the jump with his brother Michael slotting in behind and Legare falling back to fourth.

But Legare wasn’t no time moving by Xavier Harris (Goodwood/Intrepid) to regain third place, and only two laps later Legare returned to the point easily disposing of both d’Orlando’s.

Nicholas did all he could to keep close with Legare as the laps wound down but Legare’s speed was just too much as the CRG driver cruised to a convincing victory, easily the biggest win of his young career.

Nicholas and Michael d’Orlando completed the podium while Harris and Stefano Lucente were third fourth and fifth. Lucente initially endured an exciting battle with William Chayer (KMS/Birel) but ultimately was able to pull away and claim the top-five position.

A special prize at the podium announced that Alexandre Legare will travel with Team Canada to Valencia, Spain this November to be part of the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Although there is no Mini-Max category, Legare will be there to support the team and take in the atmosphere with hopes of earning his chance to race at the Grand Finals in the future.
