The ROK Cup Quebec continues to push forward with their new program for 2014, this week announcing that official supporters from Vortex will be on hand for the series debut and that select engine rental programs will be available for those interested in trying out the program before buying in.
The first event of the season happens on May 4 at the PSL Montreal Circuit on the grounds of ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec. Practice and testing is available on May 3 for those interested in trying out the engines.
For $750.00 (plus applicable taxes), drivers can rent a Vortex ROK Junior, Senior and Masters kit or a ROK Shifter setup for use on May 3 and 4. For those who decide to purchase a ROK Cup package following the test, they will receive $500.00 cash back if purchased by May 9, 2014.
Rental packages will include: Saturday practice pass, Sunday race entry, transponder rental, set of dry tires, and engine rental, including pit passes for one driver and one mechanic. Renters will be responsible for fuel and oil.
Limited quantities of engines will be available for rental, so those
interested are advised to contact ROK Cup Quebec officials immediately. Contact LP Gelinas: lpgelinas@pslmontreal.com or 514.641.5278.
ROK Cup Quebec wants to remind those interested in the program that for classes that exceed six drivers, the class champions will earn an invitation to the ROK Cup International Final in Italy. Currently, Mini-ROK has reached the six-driver minimum, ensuring at least one driver from the ROK Cup Quebec will be heading to Italy. The only expenses the winning drivers will have to compete in the International Final is their flight. Everything else is covered.
