PR: Northern Ontario Karting Championship prepares for Shannonville event

With one of six rounds in the books for the 2012 Northern Ontario Karting Championship (NOKC), series officials are gearing up for their double-header event weekend for Rounds #2 & 3. Set for June 30-July 1 at the famed Shannonville Motorsport Park in Shannonville, Ontario, series drivers will be met with a unique and challenging venue. The double-header Shannonville event will also mark another event for Rotaxians to complete their necessary qualifying events before the ASN Canada FIA Canadian National Championships in August.

In gearing up for this next event, the NOKC is offering special pre-registration deals to series competitors. Until Saturday, June 23, 2012, registration will be reduced to just $110 (cash only, taxes included) for all two-stroke classes. Day of registration will be $130 (cash only, taxes included). For Honda classes, pre-registration will be $75 (cash only, taxes included) while day of registration will be $85. Four-stroke classes will have an open tire option of MG or Vega, while two-stroke must run the required MOJO tire. Series officials urge all competitors to take advantage of these special savings and get set for the double-header event in just two weeks time.

Continuing their trend of race day cash prizes, all two-stroke classes with ten entries or more will vie for race day prizes of $250 for first, $150 for second and $100 for third. With two races on the docket, any class that meets the entry requirements will be racing for some serious cash at the prestigious Shannonville facility.

This NOKC double-header event weekend is generously sponsored by PCS Project & Construction Management, and the Iozzo Family’s D.I Auto. The NOKC truly appreciates these two sponsors and is ready for the sure-to-be exciting action at Shannonville for Rounds #2 & 3.

The NOKC is a regional qualifying series for the Rotax Max Challenge. The 2012 NOKC series will host six events at Innisfil Indy and Shannonville and is operated by the Innisfil Kart Club. For more information on the NOKC, visit www.nokc.ca or call 905-775-4686.
