Eastern Canadian Karting Championship Gearing Up for 2015 Season

The organizers of the Eastern Canadian Karting Championship have been busy gearing up for the 2015 and have made a couple announcements in the past few days.

With the first round taking part in less than a month, on May 23-24 at Goodwood Kartways, online registration is now open and all competitors are urged to complete this registration early. Online registration will also save racers $25.00 and help keep the last minute lineups and hassles at a minimum. Online registration will close on Sunday May 17. Registration can be completed on the http://www.eckc.ca/event-registration website.

The series supplementary regulations are also online. Competitors should review the series regulations along with the supplementary regulations before the event.

New for 2015, the series will no longer rent transponders at events as drivers are urged to purchase their own transponders. However, for Goodwood, the host club TRAK will rent transponders to those who require them.

Also new for 2015 is a championship fee. While it is not mandatory, this fee is for drivers who wish to be eligible for championship awards and prizes. It must be selected in the online registration process.

There is also a friendly reminder for those who have not yet applied for their 2015 Canadian racing license from ASN Canada to do so soon. Licenses are required to compete at the ECKC and should be arranged before the event starts. Do not wait until the last minute. Application forms can be found on the http://asncanada.com website.
